Rent vs Rent To Own
Welcome to the Real Estate Shift Show where we update you more frequently on What's Happening In Minnesota Real Estate with quick real estate tips, updates, and more!
Most people know what renting is but what is a Rent to Own. Renting to own you normally pay some extra money on top of the payment going toward the purchase of the home. Normally you will have a deadline to purchase the home by. If you can't get financing by that time you could lose that extra money you paid toward the purchase. So I am very cautious about someone wanting a "Rent to Own" property. Often renting is a better option. There are situations where Rent To Own can make a lot of sense but certainly make sure you have some guidance when signing one of these agreements.
